Define\nyour Motivation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are 2 types of motivation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Intrinsic\n&#8211; this means your motivation comes from inside. For example, you prefer\njogging, going to the gym, or shopping by yourself because you like how you\nfeel afterwards.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Extrinsic\n&#8211; you\u2019re pushed forward by actions outside your personal scope. In other words,\nyou prefer working out with your friends, and work harder when there\u2019s a reward\nsystem in place.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you figure out your motivation type is,\nthen all you have to do is put yourself in situations that make you more\nexcited to accomplish even more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Actions speak louder\nthan results<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deciding on a goal for the New Year is always\neasier said than done. However, it\u2019s the steps you take to reach that goal\nthat\u2019s the tricky part. If you want to stick to your resolutions, it\u2019s wise to\nbreak each step down into smaller goals, if possible, to make them more\nmanageable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, each time you achieve one, reward yourself\nand feel proud of what you\u2019ve accomplished. Be\nHonest with yourself<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The more realistic your resolutions, the more\nlikely you\u2019ll see them through. If your goal for the New Year is to exercise\nmore, then start small. Instead of planning a 5-day workout week, go for 20\nminutes a day then increase gradually. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll find that, as with all goals, as soon as\nyou start seeing what you\u2019ve accomplished, you\u2019ll be excited to do even more.\nHowever, it\u2019s crucial that you stay away from the \u201call-or-nothing\u201d approach.\nDoing something, even if it\u2019s a small piece of what you\u2019d originally planned,\nis much better and more productive than doing nothing at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, it\u2019s equally important to not have too\nmany resolutions up in the air at once.
