In reality, replacing carbs with proteins and fats can lower your blood pressure and reduce your LDL cholesterol. If you are concerned about heart disease, you can always go with lean meats instead of high fat low carb foods. Lean meats are also lower in calories so you can eat more. This is a great option for people who want to eat several small meals in a day.
